Originally from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, Associate Head Golf Professional Angela Buzminski has been playing golf since the age of 14. A graduate of Indiana University, Angela golfed under the instruction of Sam Carmichael and, in 1993, earned the highest NCAA Women's National Championship finish ever by an Indiana golfer, placing second overall. That same year, she was named a Division I Women's Golf Coaches Association Second-Team All-American.
She turned professional in 1995 and has played the Symetra, LPGA and Legends tours, among others. She has been at Woodland Hills Country Club since 2015, when she became Assistant Golf Professional. Known for her powerful drive and for being left-handed, Angela has helped many a golfer with mirror-image style instruction. During her time at Woodland Hills, she has become a Class-A PGA Professional and, most recently, moved into the role of co-Head Golf Professional in the fall of 2021.
When she's not teaching or operating the WHCC golf shop with fellow co-Head Golf Professional Mark Sadoff, she is still very active participating in various professional events. In 2021, 2022, and 2024 Angela qualified for the U.S. Senior Women's Open Championship after winning her U.S. Senior Women's Open Qualifiers. In the last four years, Angela has competed in over 50 professional events, placing in the Top 5 in 16.
Angela enjoys all sports, especially golf and hockey. She loves a good cigar and spending time with her cat and longtime partner in Woodland Hills, where they also live.
